Thanks for visiting my Web Page. Let me tell you about myself and my journey to Gaited Acres.

A several years ago I moved into my home in the country, and I began riding with neighbors who owned Tennessee Walkers. Once I experienced the smooth gait of the Walking horse, I understood what they meant by comparing the ride to "sitting in a rocking chair." Riding a horse that trots became history for me.

The next horse I purchased was a double-registered Tennessee Walking and Racking Horse, and before I knew it, he was the only horse that I wanted to ride. With some regrets, I found a new owner for my Arabian. Then I traveled to the Racking Horse Celebration in Alabama where I purchased my next TWH, a show quality Racking Horse. Not only has he become my dream horse, but the direction of my life changed. Most of my time now is spent promoting the Walking and Racking horses in Texas.

Many people have the wrong impression about the nature of Tennessee Walking horses because of abuses that were prevalent in the past. The horses were not to blame, for they make wonderful family horses. I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of owning Tennessee Walking and Racking Horses - They are very people oriented and a pleasure to work around, they are wonderful trail horses, and a lot of fun to show too!  The gaits of the TWH are smooth and fun. Also, the TWH is highly versatile and capable of doing poles, barrels, dressage, trail, etc… The TWH disposition is very kind and forgiving, and for people with back or joint problems, the TWH gait is the only way to ride. The TWH does not have the concussion of a trotting horse because one foot is always on the ground.

Come and "Ride the Glide" with me and let me help you find the perfect match with your very own Tennessee walking Horse!
